Organization of Youth against risk behaviors (OYARB) is a Non-Governmental and non-profits making Organization established in 2016 and officially registered in 2018 under the Non-Government Organizations Act, 2002 under Section 12(2) with registration No. 00NGO/000955.
OYARB is among the service provider organizations with none religion affiliation, gender, disability and sex discrimination. Its core values are; accountability, integrity, tolerance, volunteerism, striving for excellence, sustainability, competence, Service to humanity, zero tolerance to corruption and social justice. The major aim of OYARB is to identify and reach key vulnerable population (KVPs) and communities by educating adolescent girls and youth who use drug/ injecting drug, alcoholism and Female Sex Workers by empowering them with proper information tor behavior change and give them a chance to analyze things positively for sustainable livelihood and development. The objectives of OYARB are:
1. To provide education on HIV/ AIDS, Drug addict s, people with Hepatitis Band C, Female Sex Worker, Alcoholism and refer them for treatment. 2. To educate the rehabilitated drug users and offer entrepreneurship skills for self-reliance and contribute to national economy 3. Providing education and counseling on harm reduction including safety injected, distribution and demonstration of condoms use for safe sex practices. 4. To identify and empower the marginalized groups and ensured that they participate fully in the community and having access for service deliverance 5. Providing legal Aid and Advocacy to key and vulnerable population (KVP) especially PWUDs and their network 6. To support and provide aid for orphans and street children 7. To raise awareness on communicable and non-communicable diseases to the communities. |
