Her Excellence Samia Suluhu Hassan, The President of United Republic of Tanzania addressing stakeholders against illicit drugs at Sheikh Amri Abeid in Arusha During International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

During International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was commemorated at Sheikh Amri Abeid in Arusha from 23 – 26 June 2023. The Guest of Honour was Her excellence Samia Sukluhu Hassan, The President of United Republic of Tanzania.

Her Excellency among other things had ordered the four out of ten percent of allocated credit scheme from councils own sources to be directed to drugs addicts to facilitate their engagement in income generating activities to enable them earn income for decent living. This order of Her excellency if implemented will be the treatment for a long time plea of drug addict to be facilitated with credit to establish their income generating activities
